What is an Embedded iPaaS?

Rather than a SaaS company writing and maintaining a bespoke connector for every app its customers want to integrate with, it embeds a white-labeled integration platform that already ships with hundreds of pre-built connectors, authentication flows, and a workflow builder — surfaced inside the vendor's own product UI so customers never know a third-party platform is underneath it. This shifts integration maintenance burden (API version changes, auth flow updates, rate-limit handling for each connected app) onto a specialized vendor whose whole business is keeping those connectors current, letting the product team focus on their core offering instead of becoming an integration-maintenance shop. The trade-off is dependency: embedding someone else's integration layer means inheriting its uptime, its connector coverage, and its release cadence, so the choice of embedded iPaaS partner becomes a real architectural decision, not just a checkbox feature.
