Control Philips Hue lights and scenes through conversation — Neotask uses OpenClaw to give you smart home lighting control through natural language.
- Turn Philips Hue lights on and off, change colors, and adjust brightness through natural language commands
- Activate scenes, manage groups and rooms, and set schedules through conversational control powered by OpenClaw
- Query the state of your Hue lights and automate lighting routines through Neotask
What You Can Do
Control Individual Lights
Tell Neotask to turn a specific Hue light on or off, set its brightness, or change its color.
Activate Scenes
Ask Neotask to activate a scene in any room — Relax, Energize, Reading, Concentrate, or any custom scene.
Control Rooms and Groups
Tell Neotask to turn all lights in a room on or off, dim the living room, or set the kitchen lights to warm white.
Set Color and Temperature
Ask Neotask to set a Hue light to a specific color or adjust the color temperature from cool daylight to warm candlelight.
Create and Manage Schedules
Ask Neotask to create Hue schedules: turn the bedroom lights on at 7am, or turn all lights off at midnight.
Query Light Status
Ask Neotask for the current state of your lights — which ones are on, at what brightness, and in what color.
Try Asking
"Turn off all the lights in the bedroom"
"Set the living room lights to 50% brightness and warm white"
"Activate the Relax scene in the office"
"Turn the desk lamp blue"
"What lights are currently on in the house?"
"Set all lights to the Energize scene"
"Dim the kitchen lights to 30%"
"Turn on the hallway light and set it to sunset orange"Pro Tips
Reference lights by name — name your Hue lights clearly in the Hue app; Neotask matches light names you mention in conversation to the corresponding Hue devices.
Scenes are faster than individual controls — asking Neotask to activate a scene is faster than specifying brightness and color for each light individually.
Hue Bridge must be local — Philips Hue control via the local API requires the Hue Bridge to be on the same network as your OpenClaw environment.
Color temperature for productivity — set lights to cool daylight (6500K) for focused work and warm white (2700K) for relaxation.
Combine with time of day — ask Neotask to dim all lights when you start a video call or turn on the office light when you begin your morning routine.
